💜 I left a job in family support so I could be more present for my own family and for myself. I had been sharing my health issues with a manager all along—chronic illness that was exacerbated by stress, premature birth of my son that resulted in a 6 month NICU stay, the loss of another son after another premature delivery. So imagine my hurt and surprise when I was told that my leaving "wasn't the best time" for the organization 😳 I am still recovering from the burn-out and the sense of betrayal.
